We are growing! The team, that is...
I am excited to share, we have added another intern to the team! Kari DiMarzio just joined us two weeks ago. With a degree in Textiles and a minor in Psychology from URI, Kari has been a great addition to the team. Between learning about our designers, systems, and helping customers, Kari shared a bit more about herself.
How did you hear about the internship?
I found out about the position at robin b. clothier through my school, URI. As soon as I saw the job description, I applied immediately!
Why robin b. clothier?
I’ve been working in retail for over 5 years with big retail chains like Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle. For a while I’ve been wanting to switch things up and work in a different setting so I figured robin b. clothier would be the perfect place. I have never worked in a boutique before so it’s a great opportunity for me to learn new things! I also have never worked in East Greenwich before so I am looking forward to connecting with this community and making new memories and experiences here. I also love the fact that Robin is very committed to providing her customers with quality brands that are ethical and have a significant meaning.
What do you hope to learn while working at robin b. clothier?
I am looking to gain more hands on experience in the fashion industry specifically the areas of visual merchandising and buying. I am hoping that I can take what I learn from here and apply it to my future career. I already am learning so much and feel as though I will greatly benefit from my time here!
Besides Fashion – what interests you?
I love to travel! I try to go somewhere new at least two times a year. This year I went to Laguna Beach, CA and Washington, D.C. For me, traveling is something that makes me feel alive. It is such an incredible feeling to travel. I hope my career in the fashion industry will take me places I’ve never been! Traveling also has a sentimental value for me. I have a home in Sweden and my family and I often go there to visit our family and friends. I am thankful to have met my Swedish family and I am hoping to meet my family in Italy in the future!
Stop in and say Hello to Kari!
For those of you who have been asking...good hYOUman just arrived (literally, we are unpacking boxes as I type). We love the good hYOUman's promise - highest quality, give back to the community, and share your stories. AND made in the USA! We will have our new arrivals on the site shortly or stop by the store for that "hands on" preview.
We are so excited for our second Sip, Savor and Style! We hope you will join us for some wine education, meet Olivia James, designer of Kezi (the picture below is one of her amazing designs) and take advantage of some special discounts! Oh, spend $250.00 and get a free gift card of $50.00 for your next purchase.
In case you missed it, I added a bit more about myself on instagram. Our intern, Melissa, took this picture of me (I am laughing because I was getting heckled). All in a days work!
I recently took a course focusing on social media. (I know, I know, more social media!) I have to say, it was super helpful, for me anyway. Moving forward, as you view my instagram and facebook pages, I hope you get lots of insight about what I am passionate about, we'll share more about what goes on behind the scenes, and perhaps we will make you smile.
I truly love this crazy business of fashion and retail, but most of all helping my customers find that perfect item to add to their wardrobe - definitely - top of my list.
If you would like to see more - follow me @robinbclothier
Until next week...
Love and Karma,
