3 Fall Events to Beat the Post-Summer Blues

3 Fall Events to Beat the Post-Summer Blues

by Robin Barrett Wilson September 06, 2016 0 Comments

The unofficial end of summer has come and gone. I hate to say it, but we’re on the other side of Labor Day and heading straight for the fall! Kids have headed back to school, we’re forced to shift out of vacation mode, and here at robin b., we're eagerly outfitting the store with this season’s new arrivals. Transitioning from a care-free summer back to reality isn’t easy. To avoid the post-summer blues, we like to fill the schedule with unique events and fun nights out.

One of the things I love most about East Greenwich is that there is always something (or several somethings!) going on. The cottage weekends and lobster festivals might be behind us, but there are still a ton of exciting happenings that will keep us entertained as the cooler weather creeps on in.

To help you out of your post-summer slump, we’ve rounded up the 3 upcoming events we’re most anticipating:

Rhode Island Boutique Clothing - Fall Handbags

Girls’ Night Out Handbag Auction

Always looking for an excuse to add to your gorgeous handbag collection? Then you won’t want to miss the Girls’ Night Out Handbag Auction in support of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign! Local store’s have come together to donate their own favorite handbag and packed them with makeup, gift certificates, jewelry, and other fabulous treats for fashion-forward ladies to bid on and take home.

Of course, we jumped on the opportunity to join in to support the American Heart Association! One of our own handbags will be included in the auction, packed with our favorite treats – you’ll have to nab a ticket to see which one we choose! So come join us on October 3rd between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at Siena Restaurant in East Greenwich to sip on some bubbly, shop for a new statement bag, and support an amazing cause. Click here for more information and RSVP on the Facebook event!

Restaurant Week in East Greenwich

The only thing we love more than fashion is delicious food! Trust me when I say you won’t want to miss East Greenwich Restaurant Week – 10 days of culinary celebration kicking off on September 23rd. Nearly 40 of the town’s best restaurants will be offering mouth-watering meals and special promotions, giving you a true taste of the area.

Falling Leaves Stroll

Say goodbye to summer and welcome the fall season in style by coming down to Main Street East Greenwich for this month’s Falling Leaves Stroll. On Saturday, September 17th, you can make your way to Main Street where there will be music, art, and delicious food as we celebrate the gorgeous area and all things local. As always, pop into robin b. and take advantage of the special discount we’ll be offering during the stroll! If you’re subscribed to our newsletter, you’ll get a special sneak peek of our promo so don’t forget to sign up if you haven’t already!

While you’re out on the town attending these fests and get-togethers, stop by our Rhode Island boutique to peek at our new fall arrivals! If you love seeing what’s going on around East Greenwich and the area, follow along as we post our adventures on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook!
