Start by swapping out your drugstore face wash for a cleansing nectar that gently exfoliates and draws out impurities. Then, a few times a week, get rid of that dead and dull skin by applying a facial scrub for a more radiant complexion. Lastly, finish off your daily spa treatment at home by keeping your skin moisturized and hydrated with reparative serums, a silky, hydrating cream, and therapeutic complexion water.

Indulge with some DIY
Once you’ve rescued your skin with salves, scrubs, and serums, it’s time to bring back that glow with a soothing, detoxifying face mask! We whipped up our very own DIY matcha and lavender face mask that will have everyone believing you just stepped out of the spa. Here’s how you can bring out the brightness and create a spa treatment at home with just a few things from your kitchen:
- 2 Tbsp. plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp. raw honey
- 1 tsp. matcha green tea powder
- 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil
(Try to use organic ingredients when you can!)
Greek yogurt is the yummy base for our DIY face mask! Not only is it good for your body, but it’s packed with the probiotics, calcium, and live bacteria that make for gorgeous, glowing skin. Our favorite yogurt also contains lactic acid which does double duty acting as a gentle scrub and natural cleanser.
The next ingredient for your home spa treatment is raw honey – it’s high in the antioxidants that eliminate radicals and yucky bacteria. When applied to the skin, honey also attracts moisture so it nourishes while it cleanses.
Time for that vibrant, green matcha powder! Another superfood, matcha is just as good for your skin as it is for your body. This powdered green tea is full of chlorophyll which literally pulls toxins out of your skin. It’s also a natural anti-inflammatory, reducing any redness or post-long weekend sunburn, helping your skin heal itself faster.
The last step is to add 1-2 drops of lavender essential oil. Not only is it a soothing scent that’ll instantly have you in relaxation mode, lavender oil also inhibits bacteria and can reduce signs of scars and blemishes.
Once you’ve mixed all of the ingredients together, apply the mixture liberally to your neck and face and allow yourself to relax for 20 minutes. Once your mask has had some time to work its magic, wash off your home spa treatment with warm water and treat your skin with a nourishing moisturizer.
