It’s October and we are gearing up for the upcoming holidays (only 73 days left) but before we rush the season, I thought I would share a few events in Rhode Island that are on the top of my “to-do” list.
JACK – O – LANTERN SPECTACULAR
A nighttime display of 5,000 illuminated jack-o-lanterns all along the beautiful Wetlands Trail at Rogers Williams Park Zoo. You won’t be disappointed, with well over 100 of the pumpkins carved into veritable works of art, this is a tradition you don’t want to miss.
PROVIDENCE FLEA FALL MARKETS
We all love to hunt for that treasure! (Flea Market Flip anyone?) The Providence Flea Fall Markets run every Sunday, September 18 through October 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, in downtown Providence. There is an awesome lineup of local vintage vendors, artisans/makers, community nonprofits, live music and the usual yummy, rotating lineup of awesome food trucks. A great way to spend a leisurely Sunday!
PINK PARTY – OCTOBER 22nd
The Pink Party is a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraiser. We are proud to be able to dress these survivors in designs from robin b. clothier and watch them strut down the runway for this 3rd annual fashion show. Join us on October 22, 2016, for an awesome night of dinner, dancing, drinks, live and silent auctions, and best of all, these beautiful models that are all cancer survivors!
